Community of Practice

Where product people at Ampol learn from each other

The product community of practice brings together everyone who works on products across the Group โ€” to share what works, solve problems together, and grow the craft. It is open to all, run by the people in it, and supported by the Centre of Excellence.

What the community is for

Good product management is a craft, and crafts are learned together. The community of practice is the place where product people across Ampol compare notes, ask for help, and pass on what they have learned.

It is deliberately not a governance forum. There are no approvals here. It exists so that a hard problem one team has already solved does not have to be solved again from scratch by the next team, and so that good practice spreads.

The Centre of Excellence supports the community and brings tools and topics to it, but the community belongs to its members.
